I assume that as you have surfed the World Wide Web and found our site you may be looking for a Motorhome club to join.
Let me tell you a little bit about the history of our Club.
The Herald Marque was born out of the liquidation of the Autohomes Company. A group of Autohomes personel got together and with the help of a bank formed the Herald Motorhome Company. Thus the Herald Owners Club was born.
As a result of innovative design, sales boomed. The Emblem was the first hightop in the range followed by two coachbuilts, the Templer and the Aragon in two and four berth models. The Valencia was the last model to be built, and had a rear lounge. Alas only 5 were built before the Herald Motorhome Company went into Liquidation.
The assets and Herald name were bought bythe Compass Company and they continued to manufacture Herald vans and introduced the Insignia range.
By now the Valencia, Templer and Aragon had been phased out. Later, Compass were absorbed into the Explorer group, and as a result we changed our Constitution to include Compass and Buccaneer Motorhomes. The Club severed it's connection with the Explorer group and developed independently of any manufacturer.
To increase our membership, we have since allowed our existing members to nominate one new member each year. with any marque of Motorhome, to join the club
2019 saw us celebrate 25 years of the Club, and the 7 day rally proved to be an unforgettable experience for all attending.
